Remember the Dress!

Its amazing the things you are allowed to do and the places you are allowed to go when you throw a girl in a wedding dress.

Thank you to Delilah's for letting us sit on their bar and use their space.

You can also take photos at the laundry mat when you are wearing a wedding dress!

What is "Trash the dress" or "remember the dress"? There is rarely use for your wedding dress after the big day. A lot of brides like to do a fun and funky photoshoot after the wedding where they can get some unforgettable photographs in their beautiful dress. These are some of our favorite photos we took with Andrea and Dee. We took photos throughout Chicago - on the "L", a dive bar, a laundry mat. It just goes to show you that you can get some beautiful photographs in unexpected places. To see more of these photographs, please visit our website and our facebook album.

St Louis Remeber the Dress

Kelli was married in earlier in June 2009 at a winery in St Louis, Missouri.  We decided to do her trash the dress at an abandoned Carondelet Coke Factory in St Louis.  The factory used to produce coke for steel and has been abandoned for several years.  We were not aware of how destructed this area was, so were not able to adventure into too many areas for the simple fact it was not very safe.  All and all this was a very adventurous and fun day!

Thanks Kelli!  You are such a beautiful bride!

Cheers,

Heather

Adam and Meagan Bostick- Grand Rapids, Michigan

Adam and Meagan were such a fun couple to work photograph.  They may have been to contenders for the funniest couple I have ever photographed and I think it shows in their photos.

Never a dull moment with this bride.

This little boy had the hardest time smiling and opening his eyes simultaneously.  If he were to open his eyes, he also had to open his mouth.

Show a little man love!

Of course they couldn't just kiss the bride!  I am fairly certain this was planned and practiced.

So this photo needs a little explaination.  So the bride thought it might be cool to take a few photos around this gravity ball located on the college campus in which they were married.  As the photographer, I was having a little difficulty seeing the creative side of this location, well of course until the bride surprisingly jumped on top of the ball while it was swinging back and forth.  As a note, we at Serendipity Portraits do not encourage you to comprimise your well being, but if you would like to, we will be supportive!!

And of course he was their to catch her.  Although he did not have a lot of choice in the matter!

This may be the greatest bouquet toss ever.  Check out the girls in the background and the little boy to the left.

The whole bridal party learned the thriller dance. Not exactly your traditional wedding party song.

And just as a rule of thumb, the photographer always gets a free dollar dance.

What a great day!  Best wishes to Adam and Meagan!

Cheers,

Heather DeCamp
